The "original" walk from NJ to NYC for 28 miles! Magnificent views of Manhattan for the first half and NJ on the return.
About this Event
Start: Meet at Exchange Place Plaza in front of Gregory's Coffee (near the playground). Please leave extra travel time to arrive early so we can hit the road on time. Trains schedules are NOT reliable these days.
End point: Do as much or as little of this walk as you choose. Return via Path, Light Rail, Uber or Ferry to the start depending on your distance.
Distance: 10 - 28 miles, your choice.
Terrain: city streets, mostly flat with some elevation such as the approach to the GW bridge.
Transit: Subway, Path or car. Free street parking in some areas of Jersey City. Several parking garages as well.
Families/children welcome: Please leave your dogs at home.
Bathrooms: There are several rest stops along the way. Coffee shops, Whole Foods, outdoor public restrooms as well.
Lunch/Snacks: Carry your own or purchase along the way. Usually we have lunch at Whole Food
