Students will create a beautiful collection of classic Christmas sugar cookies using colorful royal icing and timeless holiday designs. Throughout class, students will learn how to outline and flood cookies and work with two different consistencies of royal icing. We’ll practice wet-on-wet techniques to create chevrons, polka dots, hearts and other decorative patterns, then add dimensional piping and 3D accents that bring each design to life. We’ll also share helpful tips for creating smooth icing, clean lines and polished, professional-looking cookies you’ll be proud to serve, share or give as gifts.
